Grant Support

NwETA staff have received and participated in numerous research and training grants (see the NwETA Projects page and our pages at Oregon Health & Science University).

Training for a Grant or Grant Application

NwETA charges $2500 for a license to use cTRAIN (up to 4 topics) and $1500 for an editing tool or $25/screen for NwETA to enter or revise content in cTRAIN. Renewal of the cTRAIN license after year 1 is $1000/year.

Training Content Development for a Grant or Grant Application

  • The cost for NwETA to develop training content for a grant can be estimated from tables on our Content Development page. If staff salary is budgeted in the grant, it can cover many but not all of the content development costs. Those that require additional costs are filming, piloting and creating a final cTRAIN package.
  • Including staff in a grant application is a minimum of 5% time at our research salary rate which is $12,750 (includes supplies and indirects).
  • Costs can be divided between NwETA and OHSU, particularly if we would conduct the research.

Grant Application Hosting and Submission

NwETA has completed a phase I STTR grant and can administer related small business applications for training or assessment products. The cost varies but can be accommodated within a typical $100,000 phase I SBIR/STTR application.
